Habitat: Altitude 29* Houston Texas Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Gills:White, unattached gills Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Stem:Seems to have a hollow core, white, smooth, thick. Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap:white, Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Spore print color:in progress Very important!
Bruising:i haven't noticed any bruising Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Other information:the liquid squeezed from the stems is a light pink. no real scent. Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
Sorry if i made a mistake on this post, im new, im a usual over at grasscity forums and am new to the mushroom game, i found these in a family friends front yard under an unknown tree, i am attaching a photo of the leaves off the tree they were under.

It's not an Amanita, it's a Chlorophyllum or Macrolepiota species. Spore print the wide opened cap.

A. Muscaria isn't the type of magic mushroom you're probably used to. I wouldn't get too excited over them.

....ok. Those Gold Caps are Psilocybe cubensis, and they're the same that grow anywhere.
Amanita muscaria don't contain psilocybin.

i am aware of that, Amanita's contain, Muscimol, Ibotenic Acid, and from the studying i have done are the mushrooms that provide the most visual effects.

I'm not sure about that. Most accounts I've read talk about closed-eye visuals. Effects are highly variable from person to person. Anyway, keep looking! And when you find them dry them naturally, on the windowsill or in the sun (be patient), grind, then make a tea.
But if you're in Houston, you can find psilocybe cubensis in pastures.

If you're positive it's white and has no tinge of green, then I would call it Chlorophyllum rhacodes.
When you break the stem, does it turn orange very quickly?
If so. Edible
