I went for a hike at one of the canyons, here in Vancouver, yesterday. Here are some pics of my finds. If anyone knows what the hell that last mushroom is, please let me know. It was enormous and very strange looking. The cap has little fingers sticking up. I found it growing next to a stump very close to the trail that I was on.
Angel's Wings. Too bad these aren't great edibles. I found hundreds of them.
King Boletes?? They were mushy so I didn't pick them. A big slug was having a feast.
I see. Well, it doesn't resemble any of the pictures that I have seen, but there isn't anything else that even looks close. Like I said, this thing is huge. I didn't think Gomphus kaufmanii could get that big.
