I like Aerosmith while tripping. The Beatles are always your best friend. I like Magical Mystery Tour, but Help! is my favorite, regardless of my sobriety. Radiohead is pretty good if you're into that genre of music, Gorillaz are pretty cool too...
Generally (for me anyways) just listen to music you normally like, it'll enhance it quite a bit, but also try some stuff you're not in to that much, you'll probably find by the end of the night you have a much better appreciation for all music.
