Anybody have any seasonal rituals?
    #11203540 - 10/07/09 08:56 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

For the last few years, when the first day of autumn hits I stop shaving until the first day of spring.

I dislike shaving everyday, plus it's like instant face warmer for the coming chilly months. :awesome:

I feel like just because mankind has the cultural inclination to keep a shaven face doesn't mean that we can't grow a winter coat.

That's about the only thing I do year after year.  Anybody else do anything similar?  How do you feel about personal rituals in general?

I dip my scrotum in colloidal silver every summer solstice.

I'd like to continue my old annual rituals...but it seems like every year now my family decides to move to a completely different state.:nonono:

I grow a beard in the fall. I usually shave it off a few times over the winter, but this year I'm going to see how good of a beard i can really grow. My wife is going to hate me lol.

Cold weather means hoodies and sock hats every day.  :whoo:

I wear boots anytime i leave the house when it's cold out. I never wear shoes with pants. I gotta have boots on. Indiana winters are shitty, so i feel i need to be prepared to walk through rain, ice slush or snow at moments notice.

I make alot of cookies and homemade hot coco mix when it gets cold out to. No wonder i put on weight in the winter.

Getting a job.

I work all winter and save cash and then slack all summer.

I also gain weight, and do a hell of a lot less.

I miss dancing in the winter..........definite lack of that.

I have to soak in all the love I can in the summer so in the inter I can bask in it.  I'm usually a straight hermit in the winter, and NEVER at home in the spring/summer.

I try to have a bonfire on the 21st of December.

I like to camp in the middle of winter too.

I'm testing the waters with getting a haircut(shave) once a year at the spring equinox. So I'm just past the 6th month of hair growing.

yeah, I've been debating getting a histerectomy, you know, that way I don't have to keep taking my anti-histamines all the time.  :cranky:
