one mushroom ID, please!
    #11203627 - 10/07/09 11:06 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

Cow pasture in north central Florida, on the grass. I thought it was a p. cubensis at first but no purple ring! Help me out guys, somehow this is the only kind I've seen growing in said pasture.

The larger ones are about 1.5-2" across capwise
I tried doing the spore print thing, and I sorta failed but you can see the spore color

(dark purple if the picture is not clear)

Thanks!

Cope... Do a spoor print... Id leave it just the way it is and let the spoor drop on the paper towl.. Over night .. In the morning you will see whet it has deposited... Id say to the best of my ability thats a Cope .. I had my hands all over them today so well you know... But Im not a trusted ID so hang a bit and one will chime in..

Copes have a black spore print and bruise blue pretty readily.  Not saying it's not a cope because I don't have experience with them, but the info's off.

Pretty sure those colors on the stem are from bruising (took a while to show) because the stem was white when I picked it

+1 on that one, im not a ID'er but if you compare all three the panaeolus antilarium is it when you have the spore print.

This Cope/Panaeolus cyanescens seems to be the consensus, so uh... How many must I consume for the unicorns to show? I can ask this here right
