This IMO would be self importance

To believe that ones personal belief system is the correct one.

Look at the virtually millions of beliefs about the meaning of life. None exactly alike and some totally dissimilar. Why would yours be the correct one and most or all others incorrect? And look at how your own beliefs change over time. Why are they now correct?

Personally I don't have a clue if there is a meaning to life. I don't know what the truth is.

This just seems logical to me.

Would this include agnostics and atheists?

I don't think there is one correct belief system. There are systems developed to navigate reality. IMO they are all just models. Each person works within the model they feel the most attuned to.

Everyone talks about and lives in their own model. To push your model on others would be foolish.

Wouldn't it be better and more fun and less phoney to just be what and who you are?

I don't see with-holding an insult as being phoney. I call it self improvement. I want to act and not re-act.

Because you are a logical positivist.

Of course there is a truth. There cannot not be a truth, can there? So whatever it is, that's what it must be. Perhaps we have to make life meaningful by the way we live it. Is it unlikely that we could make life meaningless? You could live and just waste this life or you could find what make sit meaningful. Everyone can tell you that but only we ourself can find out what exactly it is for ourself.

Over.

The Truth can not be held in any beleif system

Although say 'Truth' & most will already have so many ideas & beleifs about what it is...

Ultimately 'Truth' can not be a mere idea or beleif system, if its really Truth then how could it depend on any beleif? It can only depend on itself

For me, for something to be considered it true it must be permanent

So the Truth, simply is, and there is never a time when it is not

:peace:

That which is true, must have an aesthetic value.

Are you saying self importance is a bad thing, or just that it is a thing which is marked by how much we think our beliefs are "really" true?

After dealing with Icelander for the past few months on the forums, I don't think any of my beliefs are true anymore. I'm just a shell of a man.
