These jars we're fully colonized around on the 28th, give or take a day. I'm thinking about just birthing, then dunking and rolling and just putting into the FC tomorrow. I have peat moss, vermiculite, and crushed oyster shell, but I'm afraid I'll mess up the casing layer. It's gone well so far, I would hate to mess it up. There are 4 different strains; Burma, Ecuador, Golden Teacher, and PES Amazonian. I lost my labels so I have no idea which strain is in which jar. :foreheadslap:

1/2 pint regular mouth jars. Polyfil and RVT silcone. I made a mistake with this first grow that I won't again repeat. I punched the hole in the center of the jar which lead to long colonization times. I can't wait to birth these so I can throw those damn lids out and do it right. Oh yeah, and get clear silicone.

This first signs of life.

Tha Fellaz.

I wish I knew which strain this was, this mycelium is relentless, it's trying to eat the glass .

Slow To start, quick to spread.

You guys think I should do the casing or just the Dunk and roll?

Here's a bonus to the Cultivation guys who don't visit the hunting section very much. I think this is a mycena species, I haven't been able to identify it yet, I'm going to post it in identification forum tomorrow. It's mycelium was colonizing the acorn that I turned over.

Save those lids if you ever want to do grain jars.
