Im hoping for the day.
    #11197197 - 10/07/09 12:03 AM (8 years, 11 months ago)

When zombies attack, it's going to be the bomb dot com. I think a zombie virus is likely now and The more I think about it, the more I want to board up the windows of some shack and blow the fucking brains outta the walkin' dead!

Apparently...The answer to this is in nanobots. I read about it here, I think, but http://www.cracked.com/article_15643_p5.html I want to study nanobots just so I can push this study along so it's likely to happen when I'm not too old.

:awebig:

Anyone with me on this? Or am I just a freak?

Just a freak. It would take them a long time to reach that point of technology.

How would this benefit humanity? I think that we make technology to solve problems. Right? We may be able to use these nanobots to heal the body. It is good that you have this ambition. Technology isn't fundamentally evil. The people who make the technology sometimes are though.

No no no  - you NEVER want to "hole up"  ...this isn't like fighting normal humans where you can hole up in your castle/fort/bunker and wait them out.  They don't get tired, or bored or run out of supplies and just go home eventually.  They just keep coming . Forever. You stand still and you are fucked. You run out of supplies WELL before they end up disintegrating or whatever eventually happens to them.  You gotta keep moving.

We have not even to risk the adventure alone, for the heroes of all time have gone before us — the labyrinth is thoroughly known. We have only to follow the thread of the hero path, and where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence. And where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world.

Eventually they will die from starvation.

Considering nanotechnology has been able to zombify a virus for three hours after it's natural death, It shouldn't be too long before it can control larger beings.
Technology, especially today, grows exponentially. Nanotechnology is pretty widespread right now anyway; I mean, look at your cellphone, that was built with nanotechnology and see how quickly phones changed over 20 years.

Our population is so large, any disease is transmitted at an incredibly fast rate. (About 300 kids are absent from my old high school with the flu right now, as an example) So if a transmittable zombie ailment emerges, lots of people will become infected.

Natural selection hardly occurs in humans and we aren't genetically evolving because we have no reason to. Zombies would make us evolve. :awesome:

I'm already stockpiling for this event.

It's coming...nobody realizes yet, but it's coming.
