A few PNW weekend finds
    #11195745 - 10/06/09 08:24 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Just sharing, no ID requests. All found along the I-90 corridor of W. Washington (Between Seattle and Snoqualmie Ski Resorts)

Feel free to chime in on the unknowns tho, I'm severely out of practice after a year's break from serious hunting (aside from A.Muscaria :igor: )

1) Boletus Mirabilis

2) Angel's Wings

3) Boletus Edulus

4) Possible Boletus Edulus. Was HUGE, and rotten, did not collect

5) Unknown: Honey Mushroom pins maybe?

6) Unknown: Found on coniferous forest debris (I think...)

7) Unknown: Can't recall what the substrate was

8) Appear to be Galerinas

#4  is indeed a Porcini, probably B. edulis, maybe the subspecies B. edulis var. grandedulis.

#5  Might be Armillaria, but I think Pholiota is more likely.

#6  an Entoloma species.

#7  Looks like a Lactarius.

#8  Those are Hypholoma capnoides, an edible mushroom.  You can tell that they are not Galerina most obviously because of the heavy dark brown spore deposits on the caps of the underlying mushrooms.

Thanks, CureCat! You're awesome as always. Will keep that in mind on #8, so used to finding Galerinas I didn't give it a second thought.

Will update if I decide to ID those based on memory.
