I've got too much going on in my own damn head to figure out what the fuck they're trying to communicate to me.

Am I alone on this?

It depends on my mood and the substance involved, shrooms I usually like alone.

Meh, depends on the person too, if they are cool trippers, it isnt that bad... If it is a crazy person, or a normal person...... yeah, i would rather not.

LoL, I have had to tell my sober wife to stop talking before.

Her : " Are you ok? What are you seeing? what do you want to do next? How come you arent talking? Are you ok? "

Me : " Hey..... can you stop talking now."

Her : (gives me wierd/hurt look)

Me : "There is too much going on, cant we just enjoy -this- (gestures to the environment) ...Ok, talk, but dont ask any questions, they all seem stupid right now, And I dont want to think about them... If you have to talk to me,  make definitive statements that are true."

( a few minutes pass )


Her : "Bunnies are cute."

Me: (nodding with a serious expression) "Mmm"

Her : (smiling at me like I am crazy)

Me : (after noticing why she was smiling) (laugh)"See?"

( actual conversation somewhat paraphrased)

My wife is a decent trip sitter, but I would still prefer alone on shrooms.

Tripping alone is damn fun.  Put on some music or a lecture, lay down and live it up.

  but I know exactly what you mean. I had almost the same thing happen on Salvia about a month ago. Except I made the dreaded mistake of saying "shutup"  :crazy2:
  ruined my whole trip and beyond

Just like being sober in my opinion. If I feel like being with people, I be with people. A healthy balance of both is good whether it be whilst tripping, sober, high, drunk, swimming, driving, running, eating, showering, sleeping, singing, or eating. Take anyone of those.

I'd rather trip by myself then with others.. Agree with the- so many things in my own mind I want to think about/explore- but whenever I do trip with others (especially close friends), it's rarely a bad experience. Usually enhances the relationship, and awesome things are shared. :laugh:

Mushrooms = alone
LSD = with people, i think of it as a social drug...at low doses.
Mescaline = alone

i think being alone is great because i get to do the things i want to do not what my friends want.

I don't mind tripping with other people, just as long as the setting has enough room for my own personal space. If someone starts to get annoyed just move to another room, or a few feet away if your outdoors. Now I know not everybody has that luxury all the time, as is with me, but just as long as I got my space I am good to go. I usually need alone time in a bathroom anyway to take my time and puke. I pretty much always have a rough time coming up no matter how I ingest shrooms.

Alone. More time to reflect. More time to understand.

I trip to gain a deeper understanding of myself as a person--not to goof off and be a moron. If someone wants to do that--entirely cool with me, I don't, it fucks with my head and spins me out.

Most of my best trips have been alone, but there are exceptions.

The adventurous kind of trip where you cover a few miles in a state forest or go out to the wilderness or something, is good with another person. As long as your not just sitting around and are actually engaged/doing something (hiking, biking) then having a friend around is awesome.

If i'm taking laid back trip where I plan to stay in one enviornment, sit around, watch the stars or whatever I prefer to be alone. I don't like trying to have conversations and find social situations extremely awkward on psychedelics- with the exception of my best friend- and even then, i'd rather be alone unless we're actually out doing something.

i have times where it feel like i should be more connected to someone during a trip and it can get lonely. But tripping alone sometimes takes the fun out of it, since you cant share the experience.

guess it comes down to the right timing for tripping and hope everyone else is in the perfect mood and setting also and keep it in sync with each other.

I understand where you're coming from, but i enjoy tripping with fellow friends more. 

Sometimes i don't like tripping with other people because its so weird.  Tripping, and looking over at another person, who is also tripping.  I look over at them and think "god... i am a human too?  Damn these are the strangest things in the universe"

And other times i have tripped with my friends, and we have discussed child hood memories.  Sometimes when a weather front comes in, you will all feel it simultaneously and look at each other.  Just the look in each others eyes is enough communication for us all to share "woah, you feel that?"  When you have high dose trips that are beyond all words, or description and you share that profound experience with other people.  You can relate to each other on a whole new level.  Also group hallucinations are cool.  I will point out a face in the rocks, morphing and changing, and the fellow tripper will then see it too.  "OMG dude, i know exactly what you mean!  I can see it too!"

i prefer the solo trip. gives me the chance to let my freak hangout and be comfortable. i'll write, draw, dance, and meditate the night away without worrying about wheter other people are feeling what i'm feeling or not. sometimes the crowd you choose can limit or aggitate the experience. i'll trip with people but they have to be peeps that i know and love. my closest friends only.

subconscious made a great point about going on journies with yer friends tripping. you're right, that is awesome. i used to love going picking early in the morning with my buddies tripping. the mission makes things so much fun :thumbup:
