PNW MHNF Mushrooms
    #11189777 - 10/05/09 08:14 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

These again, were all found within .25 square mile of each other and the other 3 I posted earlier. I'll give habitat, but with the pics I have, it should explain the rest. Hit me up with any questions on info I left out. Thank you in advance for your time and help with these:

Habitat:
PNW, Oregon, above 2000ft elevation, dark rich soil, mainly Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Pacific White Fir, Blue Berries, Salal, Rhodies, lots of green clover, mostly on or around lots of decaying wood(stumps ,logs, etc.)

Gills:
Varying

Here are the pics:

#2

#3

#4

#5

#6

Thanks again all for even looking at these. I love these different mushrooms and we are just eager to find out what they are.

Yeah, #6 is a mushroom. We actually found quite a few of these. They have a very short stalk, like only 1-2 inches and they seem to be laying almost horizontal to the ground surface.

The top of #6 looks like a truffle, but I know it isn't....

#3 Appears to be Angel Wings
#5 Russula?
#6 Boletus chrysenteron? Do the pores bruise blue?

I was thinking that #3 was angel's wings, especially since it was on a dead log with about 15 others the same size. The Russula was a kinda of purplish and brown mixture, but it looked young. Are the decent Russulas worth eating? I have read both ways on that.
The Bolete does bruise blue.
