Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded.

I have no idea what it is. Brother wizard just said a single button was originally grafted to a San Pedro. It flowered last summer (four or five months after these photos), producing 30 flowers and 8 seeds.

Brother wizard plans to graft some buttons to more San Pedro and put some buttons back in soil, where they will be subjected to harsh conditions to raise alkaloid content.

Verily, I am a stranger in a strange land.

that is a very nice cactii you have there... i too would like to know how long it took a single button to look like a brain nestled atop a p. torch... was it window kept or under halides? your a lucky bastard nonetheless....

has alot of orange on it, has it been harvested?

i got an idea, tell brother wizard to graft a trich (or several trichs) into the peyote clump. then peyotes onto the subsequent trichs.
COOL!

even have trichs growing outwards and graft them to the shaft.

i'm not sure that i, if i where you, would bother using stressing tactics on Lophrophoras (assuming wiliamsii?) unless you're experienced with them. they are slow to respond to external/environmental factors (making it hard to tell if you where stressing enough/too much), and i don't think it woul'd augment alkaloid levels appreciably. if your experience dissagrees, then, by all means,,,, but i'm not so sure.

yeah, that does look more like a short spined variety of peruvianus than a pachanoi.

Mich, i can see on the left where it does appear that a button has been removed.
