i hope every one here has read this but i just wanted to know how complicated it would be to get that trait into ANY other strain. I'm sure at home cultivators would have a hard time but can it be done at all?

i think it would be pretty hard
it takes real lab work
like the guys who took the jelly fish dna into the fish dna to make those fish in japan

That's the way to go- you get that gene sequence as a prepared item, then just splice it into your shroom DNA in a good spot.
Really not as hard as some of the other stuff people on this board do, if you look at it like that. Not just mycology, but a whole list of skills and hobbies and home built equipment.

i think you just need a pretty good microscope and a clean space
but the thing is, i dont know how the dna transfers
and you would have to isolate that one gene or trait specifically
its pretty tough stuff
