Hey, just wondering, since I am a little strapped for cash. When doing agar cultures and LC, is a flow hood an absolute must, or will a glove box suffice? I did some research and I did find This thread and wondered if this will work too. Thx in advance.

either do a glovebox or make/buy a flowhood don't use that thing thats a waste of money
here is a guide for the flowhood i made and if you see my recent agar work thread you can see the results http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/9802948
dont use the company he says for the hepa filter use this https://wpb1.webproductionsinc.com/danforthfilter/secure/store/wpbec_listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=458
you will need to mess with the sizes of the sheets of wood to make sure you have a 12x24 inch slot on the inside of the box not the outside

g box is just fine for small projects. i use mine and it was put together with stuff i already had laying about.
use what you have and when the moon is full and Venus is eclipsed you will have a flow hood. i my self can't wait to get one and i still do not know when the next eclipse is either.
