My partner picked some up yesterday but we have yet to try it out, if you have tried it is it worth the 20$?

You have genitals? One of those freaks, eh? Shame on you. You probably have indecent thoughts as well. And what are you going to use that KY for anyway?
In the end, it's all down to preference. Glycerol-based jellies tend to require re-application after some action, which some people may find obtrusive. Silicone-based lubricants retain their function a bit better. The drawback is that they feel 'unnatural' to some people. And they don't wash away with just water, so be sure to use soap, unless you want to feel like having a smooth-action ball bearing in your pants all day (or night).

Yeah, KY sucks with the re-applying.
It's sticky as all hell too.
Definitely need a hootchie-cootchie towel close-by with that stuff,
wet on one end and dry on the other.

I don't have a brand name handy, but I think the stuff we got in the bedroom is German made or something. Picked it up at one of those events where people are showing off their goods

Just make sure not to use a silicone-based lube with a condom, it has a tendency to break down the latex. Water-based lube FTW!

Ahh, yeah, forgot to mention that. Although I think the one we use may be condom-proof, but I'm far from sure about it. It's not really an issue for us, though, so I never bothered about it.

About.com says silicone based lubes are condom safe. Oil based lubes are the ones that break down the latex.
And I've just written off all KY products. They're sticky, have to be constantly reapplied, and just don't provide enough lubrication. The warming stuff doesn't warm. The tingling stuff kills sensation and can even kinda hurts.
Astroglide, FTW. Although I did just pick up some new stuff that is supposedly better, but I've yet to try it.
