just stick to psychdelics.

psychedelics are much safer man, people die from sleep deprivation!

Actually sleep depravation can be really enlightening like fasting is. If done correctly and healthy one can open doors of the mind that might not open other wise. Definitely safer than putting a toxin into the body if you can achieve it with your mind.

psychedelics aren't toxins.
Well, ill argue and say dreams are more enlightening than sitting around not sleeping for a few days. :yesnod:

... sleep deprevation is NOT safer than using psychedelics. they are not "toxins" either.

I've done it.

It gets awesome when you close your eyes in a comfy chair. I would get lost in a semi dream state (kind of like nodding out)

you mean kind of like sleeping where you go in and out of consciousness with vivid dreams? you can get that just from lying down w/out deprivation.

IMO sleep deprivation is dumb. just do drugs

The crash at the end is a bitch... You WILL sleep for hours, and you will not wake up for much. You may also feel groggy for a few days afterwards.

I did this last year - didn't sleep for 5 days. I wanted to see the effect sleep deprivation had on creativity. I drew some pictures/made some music about 48 hours in, but after the 3rd day I didn't even care about the experiment; I just wanted to sit and stare off into space, my mind as blank as the wall I was staring at. When I'd snap back into reality I'd see patterns in the walls and figures popping up out of the corner of my vision, scaring the shit out of me. auditory hallucinations were persistent. yes, a very diphenhydramine-like experience.
