My first suspected actives - ID help please :) (Washington)
    #11190352 - 10/05/09 11:24 PM (8 years, 2 months ago)

Species 1:

Habitat: Park grass and alder wood chips, Seattle eastside

Cap: Dark bluish-black, flexible, incurved a bit on one side

Gills: Dark bluish-black, appear sinuate or adnexed, I can never tell the difference.

Stipe: White, I believe it exhibits bluing reaction (?) to blue-black when bruised

Spore Print: Purplish-black

Species 2:

Habitat: Wood chips under trees

Cap: .25-1cm, orange brown darkening to reddish, broad umbo

Gills: Brown, darkening to dark brown with drying

Stipe: White, flexuose, darkening to black

Spore Print: Purplish-brown

Species 3, I apologize for the pictures, it was dusk:

Habitat: Growing directly from wood debris under alders/conifers

Cap: Chestnut brown, dry, incurved a bit especially on the dryer sample

Gills: Brown,

Stipe: White darkening to brown with a fibrous pith/core that remains white

Spore Print: These specimens appear too dry for a print. Trying nonetheless.

Sorry about that.

#1 is odd to me.  The little one in the second pic has a belt that might make someone think Panaeolus subblateatus.  The stem looks wrong for that to me.  Looks active at any rate.

#2 doesn't have a purple brown spore print.  I's say conocybe and leave it at that.'

#3 I have no clue at all.  Sorry.

1) Maybe Panaeolus cinctulus
2) Conocybe filaris.  Deadly.
3) Mushroom

Fuck!  You're right.  I didn't even see the annulus.

Thanks, Alan and Mr. Mushrooms. Keep up the good work

The annulus was prominent on those conocybes - I was digging through the inocybe keys though, doh!
