I wouldn't get all wiggy if I was you guys. The great Brees didn't blow much but then again, he didn't have to. And if you don't think there is more than a little bit o' luck involved in getting 14 D points you're crazy.
They are pretty good. What they did with the Jets at home this week is not any kind of hall of fame credential but a win is a win is a win. What do you think would have happened against the Giants in NY? I'm guessing an L.

That many defensive points take a good bit more than just luck. It also takes a rookie QB and a very well played defense. The defensive DID win that game for us. And like you said a win is a win. If our offense can't make the points, our defense steps up and does it for us. That's a winning football team.

the saints didnt even give the F-A-I-L-S a chance to show their secondary prowess, with 19 rush attempts by Pierre Thomas and only 32 pass attempts by Brees they played a very conservative game... it was extremely smart to not try and go the route of trading punches but work the game with smarts. something a saints fan isnt used to.
if the saints wanted to they could have made that game a 21 point lead, but they played the clock down... so dont act like the D overpowered them to victory. the saints have the single most underrated defense in the history of the nfl, with a turnover ratio of -7, and 3 defensive TDs in the first 4 games.... atleast 1 int and 1 FF every game... it isnt a shocker that the D is what sets up the O for dramatic point gains.
just admit it you fuckers..... the saints are easily the best team in the league right now, and probably one of the best looking teams in this decade.
