Everyone is everyone.

Here are the real implications of this "fact".

There is so little actual difference in your actions and emotional states then anyone else who as ever lived as to make us all virtually identical. Think ants, deer, chimps, etc.

Really all this difference is in our self important heads. We are just another species going through an evolutionary process and we live within well defined parameters.

I noticed you left out perspective so your observation could remain in it's factual state.

How do you account for our having feelings of self importance, then?  By that I mean, we have these feelings, we seem to be part of nature, so aren't these feelings of self importance grounded in nature?  What makes them unfounded, then?

Right. They are only unfounded because we think they make us special. As you point out however everyone has them and they are basically all the same.
