I know I'll probably get ripped apart for this, but I really think that TMV is the only band that has comparable musicians talent-wise to Pridgin.

Well considering he's in their band I don't get your point.
He's a a trained jazz drummer and I tend to hold jazz musicians higher than any others (aside from maybe classical musicians but that's a whole different game), so I would disagree.
I would agree that they're good musicians. Otherwise why would Pridgen play with them?

I really liked their first drummer. I've forgotten his name tho.
You must be in Columbus, GA, huh? A few of those acts are coming here in the next few. I'm pretty sure the dates are a smidge bit earlier than the ones you listed. Must be passing through Birmingham on their way to you. I prolly won't be seeing any of those acts excepting Andrew Bird & St. Vincent. I will be seeing David Sedaris next friday.

Penguarky Tunguin--THAT'S him! Yea, I like him the best. I haven't seen a live show of theirs in a few years now nor have I gotten any of their albums since...achepuncture (sp?). I didn't like it and that was the end of my love affair with TMV.

Mars Volta will be the first band on my list that I skip if I need the time/money for other things (including the other concerts.)
I am willing to give them another shot though, so hopefully I can make it.
