When SquareSoft and Enix merged, a lot of SquareSoft people quit leaving their positions to be filled by Enix members. That's why the new the FF series aren't like the older ones.

But do you know what pisses me off?

FFIV, yes 14, is going to be another MMORPG. >.< What the fuck, SquareEnix? FFXI was a nightmare MMO and now you're going to do it AGAIN?

i think it's going to be able to be played like a regular single player FF game, or in an online fashion with others.  i think thats what i read.  so the online isn't necessary....more "optional," superfluous.

i have never played any of them.  If i were to start then i would played the 7th one obviously.  are their an FFVII PC versions?  I wouldn't mind trying it out.

You should be able to get an emulator and a ROM for the game if you're willing to look around a bit.

i'm a bit taken aback by the trailer. when i first saw a teaser like maybe 2 years ago it looked like FFXIII was going to be more mature themed..

where's the epic story that will make our jaws drop? i feel like square-enix is not really bringing that to the table. where's the bad ass protagonist? and where's the villian that i can take seriously?

There is a PC version you can easily torrent. Find a version with all the updated patches. It was made to run on Windows 95/98 and it's very buggy if you don't have the game patched to run on XP or Vista or your OS of choice.

Havent played since X.  I think this one looks good though. Didnt know they were making XIII.  Now Im kinda pissed I came across this thread since I have to wait so long for it to come out.
