How do you treat your bodies?

I put this in the TPE section because some people may have thought of this during a trip, and it's pretty 'out there' as far as the discussion would or could go.
I consider my body separate from "me". It's a biological piece of equipment that I'm using to explore this realm. And lately I've been able to `talk` to my body, understand it as a separate creature. When I used to be in the hospital a lot and a lot of pain all the time, I would talk to my body mentally and help calm it down. Like a pet, so to speak.
Thinking like this has reshaped the way I eat, drink and what I put it through.
Am I just silly? ^^

I pretty much eat garbage and in general take poor care of my body......... My priorites have been way out of whack for a long time..... cheap food is.... cheap.... sugar and fat tastes good.
..... But that is an interesting enough perspective to make me think about taking better care of my body. Yeah, if it wasnt for my wifes healthy eating habits.... I would probably be dying of scurvy right now.

I feel that.
I don't really smoke or drink anymore for those same reasons. I am way more in tune with my digestive processes also.
I don't talk to it so much as I feel it. Communication, in a sense.

I eat well. Not as good as I can, but enough that I satisfy my tastes and well being.
I have come to like foods not for how they taste as much as how they make me feel afterwards. Example: Eat a big mac combo. If youre like me, you will feel bloated, lazy and greasy. Eat lets say subway.. I feel light, full and energetic even. My face wont be greasy and I feel good to go for the day!
After a while, My body has started to reject Greasy and sugary foods. HOnestly, fatty foods make me nausous now for whatever reason.. which cant be a bad thing if you dont like what isnt good for you!
By the way, real fruits are way juicier than candy and just as sweet, a real taste of sweet.
As for other habits, I still drink casually, as for heavily, maybe once a week/two weeks. Smoke cigs unfortunately.. trying to quit but it is fucking hard

i dont treat my body well enough atm. eat shit, sleep shit...
fortunetly, over the past month or so, ive tried to improve my diet and sleeping patterns, and it surprised me on how quickly i started to feel better, more alert, improved mood and improved appearance.
oh, and since then ive been smoking even more, and i feel great, lol.
its not hard to change, and it takes little effort.

I treat my body like a temple by day, and a nightclub by night.

I feed my body with the nutrients it wants and in return it performs better physically and allows me to have an overall better mental state.
I also no longer smoke anything, except for JW-018. And yeah I miss Mary Jane.

Well I almost never get sick. But I have a shit diet, and I hardly sleep more then 5 hours. I tend to have energy burst right after I start to get tired so I don't sleep good. I only play sports for like an hour a day and the rest of the time is spent on the computer. Yet ive been losing weight.
So who knows whats going on.
Sometimes I treat my body with weed or shrooms. AND IT LOVES IT! XD

ever since awhile back....i dunno specifically when, maybe when i was pronounced dead/revived in january...maybe when i started getting anxiety attacks..i dunno....just awhile back i made a mental note to start taking better care of myself. running a few miles each day. lifting weights. eating pretty much nothing but fruits and veggies. pretty much turned vegetarian.....i try my best to drink only water and nothing more than tea...the occasional coffee.
on top of that ive been trying to meditate as much as possible. but for healing and for relaxation. etc. getting rid of mental stress etc.

I've been trying as much as I can to re-learn "my relationship with my body" -- because just reading that quoted portion pisses off the semanticist in me.
It is my "belief" that I AM my body. It's another idea I've jacked from Alan Watts, but fuck it man, that guy was on to some shit.
Unfortunately, merely stating that and actually realizing it are two very different things. We've all been raised (whether intentionally or not) to think that somehow we came from somewhere not-here, and now we're here with all this material shit, and what are we doing mixed up in all these alien goings-on? That seems like a totally unfounded assumption to me.
I figure that if I want to live in this world comfortably, I would do well to have a more accurate perception of what "I" am. And what "I" am in fact slowly formed from little bits of the world at large -- I am just a particular piece of the whole world. That piece is my body, my body is me. There is no other me.
That's the idea anyway. It's taking a while to actually get my head there.

You are your body, your body is you. For every inside, there is an outside. To view it dualistically is to fully attach yourself to this physical realm, and is on a track of Christianity thought process. YOu beat your heart just as much as you move your legs. It is all a choice of awareness.

It's more of a feeling than a knowing. But, in linguistic terms, yes I know.
How can you know? There are MANY method's or vehicles of obtaining such an understanding. For me it was through many years of asking myself "who am I" everyday. I would have to say that psychedelics kinda steered me into such a direction. Listen to Alan Watts. He is the man.

But in answer to the OP's original question:
With the most possible utmost respect, so that I may enjoy it to the fullest for the duration I am here.

I think it's all a matter of attention. Being here and now, which I'm stealing from Huxley and "Island", but I'm pretty sure he snatched it from Buddhism so it all comes around. I'm with the OP, once you get that sense of awareness it doesn't really go away, be it on 'booms or in your head. In the end it's just being constantly aware of your surroundings and yourself. I think that awareness leads to you treating your body better.

I saw this one coming.
It's a mindset to follow, not a belief system.

There is nothing to believe in but truth, essence.
To me a mindset is something irregular that an original state. and I am speaking of being in an "origin"al state, therefore is not a mindset, just life.
to say there is my body, and there is me, is a mindset. You are set to believe there is a difference.
