Fear of not being able to return to normal consciousness

Whenever I trip, I seem to get this fear -- even though I know it is irrational. Do any of you feel the same? How do you deal with it?
I've studied psychedelic history, experience, and science as much as I can understand. I know it is virtually non-issue in otherwise mentally, healthy people. But the thought persists.

The first time I tripped 2ce I thought I was never going to come down.
-------------------- People say that what we're all seeking is a meaning for life. I don't think that's what we're really seeking. I think what we're seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances within our own innermost being and reality, so we can actually feel the rapture of being alive.

I had the fear the first time I took acid. it was because I didnt know the LD50 (lethal dose) and other facts that now reassure me. Im not sure why your still having it still unless its a really high dose

I used to think that a lot until I realized these psychedelics have such a spiritual meaning behind them. It is a way to upgrade your consciousness.
Breakthroughs are separations of consciousness and ego, at least from my experience, and they're so overwhelmingly powerful that I discovered when you die, you go to a place similar to what we're seeing whilst on these drugs when taken the right way.
Oh yeah, what is "normal" consciousness?
The world as we see it isn't how it raelly is. Looking at the subatomic level, we see that energy binds everything together.
Atoms are almost entirely space, so we exist in a world of energy. Consciousness is a node for this energy, and the more you learn about yourself and your consciousness, the more in tune you are with the universe.

I used to.
But, I kept tripping.
Then I realized, that it isnt as critical to wether my consciousness is "normal" or "not normal" as I thought it was.
Now, It doesnt even cross my mind.

I have been thinking about this non-stop lately. Some times I trip myself out thinking I don't know whats real because my brain is not developed enough to see EVERYTHING? Not really sure though.

I didn't mean it that way.
I mean there is no normal, no absolute average consciousness.
We could both look at the same exact object at the same time, and have totally different perceptions of what it actually looks like because only YOU can see what reality looks like for you.
So what you experience now is normal, unless you're on drugs ha.
But who is to say that the places we end up on psychedelics aren't real?
I experience them, no?
Since I experience them, it's real to me. No one can tell you what's real and what's not.
And many people end up in the same places and experience the same thing and even come up with the same revelation or insight into themselves as others.
Ahhhh... the wondrous world of psychedelics.

LoL, Yeah, Thats why the best self-advice when these sorts of things come up.....
Just tell yourself "It is perfectly normal for ____ to be happening"
It doesnt need to be absolutly true in every sense.....
It JUST has to help keep you from thinking it ISNT "normal" or that somehow YOU are "abnormal".
"everything is perfectly ok, I am ok, You are ok, We are ok! "

I think that a lot of people have this fear in the beginning, and even though it is irrational, it is a worrisome thought.
With time and more experiences in the psychedelic world, you will eventually be able to reassure yourself that you will come down and that you will not be stuck tripping for ever.

do want.
I say that out of respect of the drug, though. I have never freaked out or panicked, had a bad time, whatever. I think I could handle it, and I'd love to see what it has to show me.

with the right set/setting obviously.

Yeah, and no mirrors.
And you can trip for months... so have fun once you get it. I wouldn't see the need to dose that much, but some are more into the idea.

No way! I love mirrors. They're the most amazing thing to really face yourself. I LOVE being on the peak and just getting lost in whatever I am.

Yeah, I was on a lot of acid the first time, and I just sunk. Every time I host a group trip the newcomers are usually suggested to go to the mirror. They always come back saying "I just realized that I am perfect and there is nothing wrong with me." or something along the lines of that. Haha, it's great.

I get this fear especially badly on Salvia. Something about it is so wholly replacing of ordinary consciousness, that nothing "real" remains to cling on to, or to pull yourself back with. Then you come down and first it's just as confusing and overwhelming to be back in the world as it was when you came up..
