i inoculated 2 allen strain jars following the pf tek, and they are slow i think, cos the others which is 2 creepers and an eq are moving along real good, its been 11 days and only one of the allen jars is has a little patch the size of a quater colonized, soo either i fucked up or the shit is slow

I inoculated 12 allen strain jars (pf tek)... they seem to be somewhat slow.. I saw growth in all jars about 3 days after inoculation, and it has been 3 weeks.. all but 2 are 100% colonized. I am not sure on the potency of the mushroom, or any type of fruiting characteristics, but I will sure as hell be posting about it and eventually write up a trip report.

well, contrary to what others are saying, my friend recieved a free allen rig with his creeper order..they were both put into rye quarts, and in his experience the allen colonized just as fast if not faster than the creeper, which is, either way you look at it, pretty damn fast..i don't think he's gotten any further than that yet though..on a side note, i realize this has been brought up before, but how different can allen be from the other thai's?..i mean there all from the same frickin island right?..peace..

Im growing creeper and allen as well with the PF tek. My allens seem to be colonizing at a "normal" speed compaired to my PES hawaiians. its been a week and each inoculation point has about a half dollar size growth of myc. On the other hand my creepers are insane. its been a week and my jars are 70-80% colonized. i am expecting full colonization in 10 days or less thats also with an incubator keeping the temp at a toasty 86%

TLG's website claims that the "Allen" strain is an extremely aggressive colonizer. I have one syringe, so I'm planning to prove you nay-sayers wrong :P

My buddy did some in Cow dung they are on the slow side but man the flushes are huge. tons of them popping up all over. they are potent we did some last weekend Man they floor you. I think they are better then KS and they rock. I'm having him make me about 10 prints the smallest cap was about 1" the biggest one was almost 3" damn good. stems where 4" to 13" pick them right after the veil rips but let a couple go for prints. You'll like them

I also recieved the Allen-Creeper combination for Little Guy (highly reccommended) and found that the Allen was a little slower than the Creeper but was matched Potency wise. All I can say is with either Creeper or Allen your sure to have a hell of a time!

Hey I have a question for you guys. How come on the little guys website it says that the new allen strain is very fast and agresive colonizer but many people have been saying that it is a little slow or maybe average?
Another question for you guys, what strain out of these do you guys think is the fastest colonizer: 1.b+ 2.mazatapec 3.the new allen strain
I would realy like to know from people that have grown these strains what one was the easiest and quickest. Thanks again guys for all the help!

I have noticed very slow growth in the allen strain as well. I mean...it comes free, so its not like Im going to complain, but I already have 100% on a few of the pink buffalos and only 1 or 2 allen's with more than 50%. Many of the inoculation points didnt produce myc and I shook the thing constantly. Leads me to believe the prints were a little thin, but again....it was free.
