For fresh air exchange, is it necessary to drill holes in your tub, or can you just open the lid every once in a while?

also, what kind of heating systems would yall recommend using? i was planning on water heating it with a submersable heater from underneath, but is there anything better?

it is posable not to drill holes but not a good idea and will affect you production and you will be faning all day. and no need to heat i fruit in 60-75 and no problems.

i don't have holes in my FC. the only thing is you get more white fuzzy mycelium built up on the stems of the mushies. no worries though

You have to open a lot. You'll need multiple fresh air exchanges throughout the day. If you don't have a job or school or kids, you can do it.

One cycle of fresh air every fifteen minutes is what is recommended by RR. (A professional mushroom grower.)

i did a couple of tubs only fanning like 4 or 5 times a day and i got really good flushes, not saying i wouldn't have got better ones with more air though...

do !! drill!!

but do it gradually add some and let RH stabilize then drill more. if your RH drops too fare then tape some holes up.

a fan in the room helps.

Try drilling a few big holes and filling them with polyfil. That might help with the humidity.
Then again I could just be making shit up

I know I was saying that, for me, comparing empty holes to Polyfil holes, you get a good mix of FAE and humidity
