Afternoon hunt need ID
    #11175856 - 10/03/09 05:49 PM (8 years, 9 months ago)

Habitat:
Where does it grow? It was growing on cow patties in a field
Gills:
Dark colored gills, younger ones have a lighter color than the larger mushrooms

Stem:
Stems were same color as caps which were a whitish color

Cap:
caps were whitish but the dried up ones I saw were silvery looking

Spore print color:
working on the spore print will post later

Bruising:
didn't really notice any bruising like with cubes. It kinda turned a gray color when touched

Other information:
Mushroom smelled earthy with no overpowering smell

Correct, but not commonly eaten either.  I think there are a few in the forum who swear by them.
