add a casing layer on top ... maybe some potting soil/coffee grounds/worm castings/verm ... that's what I used on something similar. Cover for 3 days , patch then fruit! Search casing layer for more and pinning strategy

this will help

It'd been a while for me so this is what I followed

Congrats on getting this far.  I'd try and wet the dry areas a bit; to field capacity.  Then see if the myc grows to it; hopefully yes; then i'd case and fruit; or just let it fruit after it colonizes.  Up to you...  Obv uncased is faster; less work; and sometimes is just as good as casing.

what you should do is dont grow shrooms at your parents house
that shows a total lack of respect
get your own place and do what ever you want there
-5 for you

just let it do its thing
keep it covered and let it finish colonizing
if you start to see pins then introduce to fruiting conditions
and dont tell anyone about it

keep it covered with foil or something for a few more days looks like it's maybe 80% or more? As soon as it's completely white and you think the middle is done then go for it...

yea if you introduce it to fruiting now you may get contam soon.  You've made it this far with out; if you can get that un colonized stuff wet and colonized; you'll be set.  Otherwise it'll prolly contam but you may get it ether way; you'll have to wait and see.
