He was a teacher who failed to practice what he preached. He really fucked up in the end but he wrote some good books.

If you seek spiritual leaders that make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside, then likely, you're addicted to the infatuation of new things and actually don't care to learn anything at all.
Not all teachers are going to be smiles and love. Look at OC and Icelander.
