OK Shroomery!

:smile:I finally arranged for my first order of spores.  Being that this is my first attempt at mycology, I decided to go with the "monthly special 4-pack" since it was cheaper.  I dont really wanna spend more than I have to, when I dont know what to expect really.


So, I figure I should get them in a week or so...and from there I plan on documenting and photographing the whole experience for your pleasure and input. 

Please....go easy on me....

Hahha....well I dont know where the other side of the globe is compared to most here, but Im in Southern California.  I had planned to do this project a week ago, but found out it was much more difficult to get spores here than I thought.  So I worked something out with a buddy in another state.

Im soooo excited....I dont know why...but I am!  Haahhah!

I know the feeling well.  The first experience is full of excitement throughout the lengthy process.  I came home from work today, to find my first pins, and I was ecstatic.  Its a lot of fun, good luck, man.

Yeah, I would not have a problem shipping spores to an illegal state if it were to a good friend.  I mean, are they seriously going to check your mail to see if it might contain some cube spores? No.

Good choice on the new hobby, sucks that you're in CA where it's harder to get spores, but good luck nonetheless, I hope you and your friends have some fun fungi soon.

Im just doing the exact PF Tek method in the videos by RR.  Gonna follow the instructions to a T.

For a new grower, that's a fairly novel idea. Lot of "lets just make shit up as we go along and complain why it doesn't work later". Hold true to your word, and you will be successful.

If you luck out and get some sclerotia forming spores, make sure to save em till you get into grains, or send em to me. You're pick.

Though Im not to that point yet, Im curious now.  Im still doing alot of reading but havent read anything on the sclerotia topic.  What do you do with it?  Im not concerned with anything beyond having some successful harvests and getting good and confident with cultivation.  Im sure after that I will move forward into more advanced stuff.  So I guess if Im lucky enough to land some, Id be glad to send it to ya.  (Considering I wouldnt know what to do with it anyways.)
