So, I had to share this...

I live with three other people and we all share a fridge. It was starting to get pretty full with my finds, especially after a particularly good foray today, and they were starting to complain that they didn't have enough space for beer. So, I decided to portion everything out and freeze it tonight.
As I was bagging pound after pound of these delicious gourmet mushrooms, I just got really really happy. My roommates just couldn't understand why I was so excited, so I decided to post this pic, knowing that in this little corner of the Internet were the people who would understand.
I hope that all of you have the same luck that I've had this year!

That was my thought too. Good knife, if so. That's what I use.

Haha, me too. I didn't notice it at first, until I looked at the book that TheShroomanizer was describing. Great knife; quite sharp.
EDIT: I'm not insane and agreeing with you agreeing with me. I was regarding the "That's what I use" remark.

Yes it is! I'm dating myself here, but I think it's the 6th (1991) edition so it's quite dated, but still useful to a point. I've been doing this for a while so I'm on pretty solid ground with most of what I eat, but when there's any risk of look-alikes I rely on the beloved TI's here

Don't be jealous--I would give you some if I you were my neighbor! The only reason that I posted is because here are the people that would appreciate 10lbs. of Grifola frondosa.

Yup! Henckel's, but alas! If you look closely you'll notice that the tip is missing. I snapped it off trying to pry ice apart

My roommate has a set of Henckel's. His 6" knife has the tip broken off too. Another roommate tried to use it as a screwdriver.

Can't find any info on the different Audubon editions. Mine says:
"Published December 1, 1981 Reprinted three times Fifth Printing, October 1988"
Ah well, I found it at a half-price books. Had to nab it without asking questions.

It's a bookstore. Why couldn't you ask any questions about a book?
Some people are so overly-paranoid!
By the way, all my mushroom books (like 15) came from HPB.

Not really sure where that comes from. HPB employees around here don't have info on every edition or even every book, but maybe the ones around Seattle are better. I just meant that I had to nab it quickly for the price. I was trying to figure out what edition I had. Happy hunting and... happy shopping.
