storing jars in shoebox post inoc

hey all, i have a room in my apartment that fluctuate between 77 and 86 degrees, so i put my jars in a shoebox where the temp fluctuates from 74 to 78.

is this bad in any way, storing them in a shoebox? im thinking there might be some airflow issues or something..any input would be appreciated.

I leave jars in the box they came in all the time without problems.

That should be just fine. Make sure to spray some alcohol in the air above the open shoe-box though(before putting the jars in). Lord knows what kind of contam could be in there :frown: . Honestly 77-86 degrees sounds fine too.

uh i definitely didnt do that. i put them in a day and a half ago. it was a new shoebox, with nothing else ever having been stored in it, so i guess all i can do right now is hope that nothing bad has happened yet.

moodyfloyd i have used the same shoebox for years and have never sprayed anything above the box, probably a good idea but just never did it cuz i have never needed to. its always a good idea to take any extra steps possible to help fight contam, but don't worry you should be fine. i'm living proof of that

didn't mean to scare you, I'm just a psycho when it comes to sterile technique. I'm the kind of guy when making a spore-syringe I spray rubbing alcohol into a shot glass and light it on fire in my glove box, before putting PC'd water into it haha. Totally unneccesary, but it's what I do haha.

You should be fine though!
