patience is the key my friend, one day you'll wake up and check on your cakes as always, your eyes will slowly absorve it and then BUM!!!! and you see these tiny pins which are screaming "Hi We Are Finally Born!!!!" and you get happy and promise them that you will take good care of them untill they mature...

yep thats how i see it

I have the same problem, except mine have only been sitting for 9 days. Just wait it out. After another one or two weeks, I'll then start to question what I did wrong.

that's what caused me to try my first casing with great success. i had a cake that just sat there forever. my others had already gone through a flush. i sliced them all up and cased 50/50+. a worthy experiment if you're so inclined.

are you giving them any light? That would definitely help man. If not, just use a flourescent light. If you don't have one you can use a regular light bulb just try not to put it too close to the terrarium or it may overheat it.

yeah, and with casings it's easier to tell what stage they're at, but with cakes it's impossible to know what's going on inside their little heads...i mean, if they had heads

Cakes are harder to tell.  SO sometimes I ask them.,  "You okay in there?  Are you gonna come out and play soon?"  But, they have only answered me once.

Bilge, so you gave up on the cakes and cased em. How long did your casings take to pin, from the time you first intiated pinning?

i don't remember exactly but i'd guess 3 to 5 days after initiating pinning.
