couple of first timer questions
    #11170269 - 10/02/09 04:39 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

http://http://Ok here we go. First of thanks for the info i have found on the board..very helpful..
little background.. I am doing my grow in vent bag.. i have a small room being kept at 76-80 degrees..there is proper ventalation but no sunlight. My bag is 3 weeks old(after grain was added) and it is engulfed in white fans..no there are knots forming in the middle of the fans.

question..is sunlight needed to produce fruits?
usually how long from knots to fruits?
and lastly there is some yellowish water on the bottom of the bag..is this bad?
last thing..i was thinking about transferring the cake to a larger tub after my first flush. is this a good idea..i have seen the tubs with some holes in the lids .full of mulch..

any info would be greatly appreciated

yellow water == metabolites == FINE

knots to fruits == bout a week

you need light to educe pinning..
12 hours on, 12 hours off. natural light works but a "daylight" bulb that has a color temp of 6500k works way better

:pm: me if you have questions about lasers

Although i may advise others in a general way regarding all types of mushroom grows, and may even post question from other forums about growing "active" mushrooms, i only grow non-"active" mushrooms and edibles.

fully colonized substrate is not prone to contam because the shrooms ate all the goodies already
