Some unknown (to me) Shroomies.
    #11166953 - 10/02/09 12:46 AM (8 years, 17 days ago)

The above shrooms were all about 2-3 inches high.

This was about 5 inches high.

Does anyone know any of the names of these?

Isn't 6 a destroying angel? Sure looks like it to me.

I knew #3 was a bolete, and #4-5 were muscaria. Yay for improving.

1. Russula sp.
No idea what species. Russula are notoriously difficult to identify.

2. Ramariopsis kunzei
http://www.mushroomexpert.com/ramariopsis_kunzei.html

3. Boletus frostii
http://www.mushroomexpert.com/boletus_frostii.html

4-5. Amanita sp. (@DannyGlick: A. amerimuscaria? the cottony rings aren't very distinct.. could be a panther?)
http://www.mushroomexpert.com/amanita_pantherina.html

6. Amanita bisporigera aka "Destroying Angel"

A. pantherina looks more like this, color wise.

I agree with DG, A. amerimuscaria.

I agree with A. amerimuscaria for 4-5.. unless your in the PNW then i would say its the yellow form of A. muscaria

A. pantherina is dark brown in color and strictly speaking a European taxon.. Mushrooms in the west fitting the description of A. pantherina are likely Amanita ameripanthera nom. prov.

I dont believe Amanita ameripanthera occurs in the eastern U.S
