Should I keep or remove the tape?

I have 6 jars inoculated and I was wondering if I should keep or remove the breathable micropore tape on the lid. I mean I know the dry verms will protect them from contams but should I be safe and put the tape on the lid to cover the holes? Or FAE is more important? But the tapes are breathable though?

leave it.. its an extra line of defense, its not hurting anything.. and if you have to flip your jars at a later date you will be happy its there

You shouldn't have to flip your jars and if there was to much moisture and you flipped them the micropore tape would get wet and could wick in contams. Micropore tapes not needed I would leave it off and just place your jars on a shelf or somewhere where it can breath at room temp, not small boxes or trash bags
