Been reflecting a lot on my life lately.

I don't even know what to be, how to be, who to be, what to do, how to exist. I'm a pretty happy guy, very self aware and conscious of life around me. But what's the point?

Anyways, if you're interested in a good story [my story] then check this out:

Here's what most people do(and I'm not being sarcastic):
1. Fulfill social roles(father, boyfriend/spouse, student, etc.)
2. Figure out a stable means of getting money(perhaps get a degree first, to better support your child)
3. Be responsible

Yeah, I trip regularly to clear my head. I'd love to go on a vision quest, but after all my trips nothing changes. I know what I am, who I am, my place, what's right, what's wrong. But it doesn't matter.

I guess I take these messages for granted. But psychedelics definitely help to clear my head from stress for a while.

I just.. don't know how to live in the moment. :\

by vision quest, I meant spend 3 days in the wilderness with nothing but yourself and some clothes on you back. and maybe some water. clear-headed. no drugs. and most importantly, no clocks. You'll loose sense of time, which will in turn force you to live in the moment.
I haven't done one but would really like to one day. It should really help in the whole "finding oneself" thing. It'd be cool to do it in a desert somewhere. but sandstorms suck. and landmines. you gotta hate them landmines.

OP- I feel your pain.   

Cannabis has been the biggest helper in this respect, but generally a part of me is wondering what the fuck I should be doing and I have lots of ideas too- just don't have good oppurtunities at the moment to execute them.    I feel like I am stuck in a check mate  right now.  it also doesn't help that the job market as at an all time low......  i can't even get my own place


for what it is worth-  meditation might be a good practice to take up
