Panaeolus cinctulus and other mushroom sp.

So I was out today looking for some new lib places when I found these subbs. I was looking them the whole summer but nothing was found.
Well it seem to be best year of my mushroom hunting years already. Here is some other mushroom species as well. :smile:

I have heard others explain that the gills on p. cinctulus don't come down below the margin like this (like they might on p. foe.) I'm not second guessing you by any means, just really want to learn as much as possible. What other characteristics make the distiction clear here? I notice the dramatic rings of color on the top of the cap. They also look shorter and more thickly proportioned that other photos I recall. Are these differences a result of geography?

Well these Pans are pretty big and thick so there is no way that these are foes which are rather small mushrooms.

Nice pics man, Looks like you may have some Gyms there also pic 1 second row. check spore print And the Subbs look sweet :thumbup:

Panaeolus cintulus' gills can and often do fall below the margin. Also, Panaeolina foenisecii does not grow directly from manure.

That one with the scaly stem is pretty interesting. I bet it's either a Stropharia or Floccularia species.

Those Gyms are Gymnopilus penetrans, not active.

It is weird that the weather is really cold, and now some subbs are coming up, but its all good.

Scaly stem mushroom had grey gills when it was in more mature kind of state. Cool looking it was, never saw that before.

With better lighting, pic # 10 could be amazing. Maybe a tiny bit of flash could help.

That scaly stem mushroom turns out to be Stropharia hornemannii.

Yes, and those on picture number 8 are Phaeolepiota aurea. Beatiful mushrooms and photos.

No, but I haven't really looked for them. It's been a quite good year for edibles though.

Pan subbs was growing in rotten grass, lots of pins were left to mature..

No dung, just well rotten grass.
I was looking that place every now and then in summer, but nothing was coming up until now, and its been frost for several nights in this week.

I think that subbs are also called the "Weed Panaeolus", so I was looking them in rotten grass, among the other places..
