My first real-time armillaria discovery?

Hi Folks, I have encountered specimens from the Armillaria genus, but at the time I was not aware of it. I found out months later when classifying some pictures I had taken. Nevertheless, while walking today I found what I think are tons of the fungi. One batch was at the base of a tree, and the photos below are taken of two specimens I collected. Their veils have yet to be broken, but I am nearly sure they are Armillaria. Could I have some confirmation? I will head back this evening or tomorrow to collect the 30-50 shrooms at the base of this tree, or should I wait until their veils have broken? I also noticed the genus in many yards across an entire street. Although they were certainly more mature. I did find them hard to remove from the clump and ended up breaking them at half-stem. Could someone give recommendations for their cultivation and a classification protocol to follow (some cooking tips would be great too).

Get a Positive ID they look like the yellow honey mushroom to me. But don't eat any mushroom your not positive about.Honey fungus or Armillaria are delicious mushrooms, But be sure to parboil them before eating. This removes mild toxins that can cause mild stomach upset. Get a Positive ID they look like the yellow honey mushroom to me. But don't eat any mushroom your not positive about
I usually Parboil then freeze for storage. Great saute mushroom or fried with steak and onions

Excellent, thanks. Could either of you perhaps provide input on:
- Could you elaborate upon the criteria / characteristics that led the two of you to assign them as honey mushrooms?
- What is the best way to pick them? I ended up breaking them at half-stalk, unfortunately.
- Is it best to wait until the mushrooms have ejaculated and broken their veil before picking, or afterwards?
Many thanks, I shall have more pictures tomorrow.

Nice! I think your coprinus comatus is actuall c. atramentarius. So be careful with consuming these, since they cause potentially dangerous reactions if alcohol is consumed along with them (within a time frame of one or two days).
I'm not sure about the last species, perhaps take some more pics when they've matured a bit. The first two clusters look like an armillaria sp., but I'm not 100% sure about the smaller buttons in the last 7 pics.

I agree on the inky cap. That's Coprinellus atramentaria.
