pink furry mold on my buds
    #1086560 - 11/26/02 02:12 AM (21 years, 2 months ago)

i figured you guys will know more about mold than the guys at overgrow. i have some buds which have a pink mold on them which resembles candy floss. is there any way to make this safe to ingest. e.g. cook it, pressure cook it, soak it in alcohol. any idea what the mold is? i want to make some green dragon brew with it and in the process it would be heated to 80C in 95% alcohol for about 2 hours, is that enough to kill any toxins present?

Heat will kill the molds but toxins would be left.

Best bet may to be make some water hash since i figure would be seperated.

Straight up eating the moldy stuff is probably worse then smoking it... maybe not tho.

I wouldnt mess with unknown funguses. Pink ones almost sound scary.

well some toxins are destroyed by heat but i know some arent. botulisim is destroyed by heating for 10mins at 100C. they said to make water hash over at overgrow. i dont really want to fork out $200 for bags though.
anybody know what the pink mould could be?

Just rinse them off really good with some h2o2 first. Alcohol will rinse the toxins(if any) right out of your buds and into brew along with the THC.

Are they still growing? If so you still have time to save it
