hi, about 1 month ago i planted 6 lophophora seeds. i used a straight cacti mix, which i now think has too much organic matter in it. i placed the seed tray in an aquarium with a disused electric blanket underneath constantly heating on heat level 2. i mist sprayed the seeds and there is no doubt that there is a high humidity in the chamber. my problem is that i can now see some tiny white fluffy substance on the surface of the mix and no seeds have yet to germinate, im aware that germination may take up to a year but i thought with the correct conditions it could happen within 3 days. as im very new at growing cacti i would appreciate any feedback or help.
Make sure the tiny fluffy white substance isn't actually the roots since that's exactly what they look like. If they were planted a month ago and haven't germinated, I'd be pretty worried though. All of my loph seeds from a few different vendors germinated in a good week max. You should post a pic though since I'm sure we could tell if it's something bad like cobweb mold or benign.
