so i ordered a Z-strain from Ralph, but there are no Z-strain spores in it... I have used ralph before and had no real problems, but i have seen a few threads around here saying his syringes havnt been the greatest recently...
I know the rules, the reason I am posting here is because after I reported that I had a bad syringe (no z-strain spores in it, but what looks like a contam) and have no response after about a week of waiting.
I know he usuually sends out replacements when notified, but i have gotten no emails/pm's to indicate that i will be recieving a new syringe... it sucks cuz ralphs has the cheapest shipping by like $20...oh well...
again, this isnt a flame thread, its a be careful thread
EDIT: I am wondering if others have this problem, and what the best way to get it resolved is. If im fucked, well then that just shitty...

I know that Ralph has a lot of respect from a lot of people. I ordered my very first syringe from him and I was disappointed. After reading up on my problem, it seems that I was given bad genetics as far as I can tell, but I don't know for sure. I just know that I probably won't order from Ralph again. I still respect him though.

i read a few threads myself, complaining about the viability of last months SOTM South American from RALPH- i can put this particular rumor to rest right now- the sample of SA i received as the Free SOTM is clean and viable- perfect for microscopic examination.
As for your Z strain, does it look like maybe all the spores have collected into one mass? cause that happens on occasion, and can appear like a contaminant, but be perfectly clean. Hope this helps.

will you find that after reading, learing and listening...and being clean, the "contaminated Syringes" that you get from RalphstersSpores
will drastically be reduced to zero.
I have people who order syringes from me every 2 weeks, and have for many years.
They have never once had a contamination issue.
If I sold shit spores, I wouldnt be here.

i have heard ralphsters stands by his product...CLEARLY he doesnt...and apparently he treats anyone (including returning customers) who has a problem like shit...
i can CLEARLY tell that what i have is not Z-strain (or any form of cube), but for the $25.00 i paid ($15 syringe, $5 shipping, +$5 cuz i value the service provided...) its not worth getting kicked out of teh shroomery for flaming ralph so ill leave it at this:

You know, I chose you for my first ever syringe for a reason. I had heard nothing but good things about you. I'm just sharing my personal experience with you. I was not happy.
With that said... Hey CamKron, I understand that you weren't happy with your syringe, and thanks for sharing, but there is no reason to attack the guy personally. He has been around for a while for a reason. Just don't give him your business anymore dude. If he is selling shit spores, it will catch up to him.

i posted this because i was always under the impression that sponsors would send you replacements when they fucked up.
i posted this so that others will not be duped into believing this.
im defending myself, as a returning customer (well as any customer, really) i am entitled to what i pay for...
If ralph doesnt refund/replace bad product, he should specifically state it somewhere...dont say you replace and then accuse me of being a lying blackmailer when i recieve a dud.
this is on the front page of ralphs site... im not makin up that he gauruntees his syringes for a full 60 days...
THAT is my point, im not attacking him, im sharing my experience with him...

Unless you isolate your microscopic samples, viewability will remain an option no matter what vendor you use.

he ignored me, with no response to the quote directly from his site saying he will send a new syringe if his is bad
i went to another vendor and stopped following this thread over 2 weeks ago out of frustration lol
for people assuming its me, fine idc... think what you want
i know what im doing, i know when im sold something bad...
as far as growing them, dont mention that shit on the sponsors forum, i maintain that they are to be used (in canada at least) for viewability, its not z-strain in that syringe..
i said contam because that is what i figured it was, as what else would it be?

I have bought from ralph and was very pleased with the shipping time and quality made syringes.
I am glad you found a different vendor that took care of you. Thats the best way to deal with it, take your buisness somewhere it is appreciated.
I think ALL of our sponsers do try their best, just sometimes it doesnt work out satisfactorily for one or both parties.
BUT, I am not going to be so bold as to say "no vendor ever has problems".... Its just life. Nothing is ever perfect. Mistakes do happen, wether it is a vendor or a purchaser, Sometimes the transaction is lacking.... ever been to McDonalds? Thats a perfect example.
I know you said you sent him an e-mail..... and I do think thats where this issue probably got off on the wrong foot.... communication, it is important in any relationship. 
Suppose he didnt get the e-mail, for whatever reason... And the first he hears about this issue is a random post accusing him of bad buisness...... I would have a hard time being cool to you after that point as well.
Either way, Not trying to judge anybody..... as long as you are set now, its all good. 
---IF--- Ralph is selling crap, or punking customers, it will come out soon enough, and there isnt a real reason to beat this thread to death(looks at k4ge  )

I do understand the problem somewhat here. But you do have to realize if the vendors here gave out free syringes every time somebody contaminated their setup theyd probably go broke. I think its really up to the vendors themselves to judge accordingly.. What happens to his product after its shipped out is beyond him and he cant be held responsible all the time.
The end result of his syringes/prints doesnt necessarily reflect the quality of the product that was originally shipped. There are way too many variables to say its not more your fault then it is his or anything in between.

My opinion on what you should do..cause everyone is just spewing nonsense.
Close this thread, delete it, lock it whatever. If you cant do it ask a mod to.
Send Ralph a polite email stating that you noticed your z strain syringe was contaminated after observing it under a microscope. Ask for a resend and I can almost guarantee he will do it.
Although you have made a thread about his company trying to bash him so at this point I can't guarantee he will want to resend, but I can vouch for the guy.
I've ordered over 10 spore syringes from him and never had a problem, except for once, and after emailing him a few times it was resolved (I am not going to lie it took him a a week or two to get another syringe out, but he kept his word)
I've also receied over 4 free strain of the month syringes!!!

Ralph is a good man.
I ordered from there and was missing one syringe.
Was a big order so this happens.
I sent an email and Ralph replaced the missing syringe.
I was happy with my product and experience.
I guess not everyone can win.

Ralph, you will be my second choice now that I've failed with products from Spores 101. The mycelium seemed lethargic and tired. Eventually it became overridden with contamination (Koi Samui, no super).
Sorry for the delayed response. I received the spores 5 days after i ordered. Everything went along smoothly. I did have one issue however. If/when you order, if you TYPE instead of PRINT your request in the comments area for your S.O.T.M. they will not ship the free spores. MAKE IT OBVIOUS or you'll miss out.
The only critique i can offer is on the actual website, not the service or the company. At the time of my order the website was fairly confusing with multiple links referencing the same (for lack of a better term) THING and leading to slightly different info.
There was nothing clearly stating hand written when i made my order, i was told to simple make my request (regardless of format) in the comments section of the printed order form.
All of that aside, Ralph pulled through! 4.5 out of 5!

cool, feelings better on my next decision. Just got ripped the blank off from SporeStore... been 3 weeks, no responses or anything... and I'm glad I looked here because it was helpful to me to choose to buy from Ralph's now. As for the dude bashing and complaining, why didn't you try to order once more... and if that fails I assure you that you will have room to complain.

screw that action. I like that I got a place that records next to nothing and that it's not 1's and 0's (digital records) for orders as they happen . I would like to micro-analyze this shit without even a bit of even tweaker paranoia thank you. (no I don't tweak!) If you want to use plastic go to another site. Besides, fuck plastic anyway. You can't roll a joint with it (say's the head shop i live near)
