do i want to try salvia

A friend told me salvia was legal today and i don't know weather or not to believe him.  I have never even heard of it until recently and this dude wants me to do some with him.  Whats this stuff do any way?

erowid.com dude. check it out. but it is an herb you smoke (or use as a tincture) and you gave intense hallucinations. its awesome. very short trip though. do your research. sounds like your skeptical

it is legal, and what your friends are probably doing is smoking a potent form of the leaves of the salvia plant. 

If its something you are curious about then it is up to u 2 decide to do it.

from my experience it wasnt that great, because it basically makes you black out for 5 minutes, then slowly peice things back together.

I think that this is inherent with smoking extracts, the traditional way to use salvia spiritually is to do a quid (which is keeping the leaves in your mouth and rubbing them agaisnt your gums, like chewing tabacco).  A quid results in a much less intense but more drawn out experience.

its not a party drug....its only meant for those really trying to expand their minds. trust me if you are weary about it, just don't do it. it is the LEAST fun of all the drugs. but eye opening

There is nothing fun or eye opening about this plant.  I have tried it on numerous occassions and will never touch it again.  Even the 35x strength stuff at $65/g just gave me pins and needles!

You may have 1min or so of an uncomfortable feeling, maybe 1/20 of a very light mushroom trip and then returning.  It's not worth the money, it tastes like absolute shit and it gives the worst pins and needles feelings all over your body.

Save you money and get some mushrooms or acid which are 1000 times better.

If you smoke extract, you can have a breakthrough experience similar in strength to a DMT breakthrough, but the subjective experience is very different than a breakthrough on deemsters. I recommend giving it a try if you like tripping, just do some research. It is legal by the way.

this is very subjective. i know people that don't like weed. doesn't mean its not eye opening. just try it and see for yourself

I do recommend trying it once but I gotta agree about the pins and needles feeling. I personally can't stand it and it's probably the main reason I've only done it a few times.

salvia is fun its like a trip not really good for recreational more like teaching type of high. it is interesting definitely worth trying.

I really believe this is a VERY powerful psychedelic that should not be taken lightly. Salvia has a unique way of showing you reality that is different than other psychedelics.

The only way to know is to try for yourself man. I would start off with a lower extract (5x, 7x, maybe 10x) or even plain leaf cause this drug is POWERFUL. If you breakthrough it will be like nothing you have ever seen, unless you have tried DMT then you might have an idea of what is going on. But it just comes down to experiencing it for yourself.

On a side note, the pins and needles feeling is the worst part IME. For me I get that feeling times a million. Then there are those familiar entities that scare the shit out of me even though I know they only mean well.

Lol, every time I go into another salvia trip I think I am ready for it, only to come back to that salvia world that is just sooo freaky and weird. Its like after those first 2 or 3 strong hits, these odd things start to happen that confuse you but you almost seem to know that it was happening yet you try to avoid the ultimate truth. I guess it is just your ego trying to fight back.

haha. completely agreed. Last time i smoked salvia i had 40X and i dont remember much at all except for some reason i thought me and friends were all about to die and i think i literally know what it feels like to go insane. After it was over i felt my face and said "why the fuck is there sand all over my face" and i guess i stuck my head in the sand at the beach & almost ran in the lake.

I smoked some 40X on 420 too mixed with some dro in my friends car and i thought i was the car seat i was sitting on.

Salvia is so awesome. Just smoke it in a very comfortable place. You're not gonna be you for like 5 minutes if you use it right.

I suggest using a bong. Never had a breakthrough without it.

It's possible to have a breakthrough without a bong. It just takes intention and practice of letting go.

It's possible to breakthrough on salvia on just a pinch of extract. It really depends upon reverse tolerance. If one does not breakthrough on a little bit wait a
second take a breath say a prayer and smoke a little more. The reverse tolerance should take you further than you've been before.

i bought some of just the leaves from bouncing bear years ago. i read the reports thinking "this sounds above and beyond other common psychedelics"

having never even done shrooms at the time, i figured, what the hell, and read how to hold the hits in, use a bong, etc for getting the most out of the leaves.

it took a few tries, but the effects where noticeable enough to tell me to keep going.

other times with extract and stuff, and even the leaves where just rather strange uncomfortable trips, but nothing too horrifying, i think it did make it hard to not be anxious when doing it. it isnt fun but more mind expanding.

i think the only thing that may be similar at all is ibogaine, and my first breakthrough trip told me "whoa, this is what they where talking about"

be relaxed, and above all tell your friend to shut the fuck when you do it and just watch. also dark environments are the best. dont expect "recreational" but expect SOMETHING
