Replanting???

hey i was checking out some b+ that wer growing i have managed to nock one over stupidly its about 3 inches tall. iv tried to re seat it. will this work or shall i just pick it and wait for the others to finnish????

mushrooms aren't plants and can't be planted. It's ok, just pick it and move on...more will grow.

actually, i have placed a premature mushroom in a small shallow glass of water and it grew to maturation.

dont know how much the potency of it was affected but it lived and opened up in the glass after 24 hours

Hmm sounds interesting think ill leave it in some verm overnight and if it starts to show signs of growth ill keep it there if mould then ill remove it

you probably shouldnt expect to gain much out of doing that other than experimentation.

the actual nutrients are drawn from the main colony of the mycelium supporting the mushroom. the water just allows more expansion of the cells, adding size and not much else

i didn't believe that you could do it either but i just got back from a road trip and had my friend/roommate take care of my babies. he couldn't stand the fact that little ones could come off with big ones... he told me that he re-seated a few and they all grew fully mature. i didn't believe him but one accidentally got knocked off and we made a bet to re-seat it. he won. it grew huge and i lost about a g to him..... the verdict is: with a gentle and sterile procedure, shrooms CAN be successfully removed and reseated
