HOW LONG WILL FRESH MUSHIES LAST?

MY FRIEND HAS SEVERAL MUSHROOMS THAT HE CANT EAT RIGHT AWAY...HAS HAD THEM IN THE FRIDGE IN A PLASTIC CONTAINER FOR OVER A WEEK AND NOW HE IS WORRIED THAT THEY MAY GO BAD BEFORE HE HAS A CHANCE TO EAT THEM...
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE?

STOP YELLING. And he should dry them or eventually they will rot. Go to Wal-Mart and buy some damp rid.

If he's going to keep them in the fridge then I think I've heard a paper bag is better.

I would chem dry them, but if you don't want to bother with chem, and you don't have too much shrooms wrap them in a lot of paper towels. They absorb moister very good, and your shrooms will slowly dry  :smile:

dry them soon, the longer you wait the better chance they have of rotteing(which they will) and growing mold
