um well its been 12 days no mycelium im growing b+ spores ... 5 jars they all smell alike some smell stronger than others its a pretty bad earthy smell i dont like it but i was wondering does anyone else smell stuff when they grow??? like whats the smell i know its not pussy

Hi, just a couple of pointers.
A) how do you know what they smell like? You should not open an uncolonized jar
B) Describe what procedures you have followed. "Jar" does not tell us anything. We need to know what is in these jars and how you prepared it.

i used the pf tek method i used a layer of dry verm too brf verm and water for substrate.. anyway i didnt open the jars i smelled them through the innoc holes i have them open to allow gas exchange but anyway what is it suppost to smell like and please dont say shroomy cuz it defiently doesnt smell like shrooms

How many jars did you innoc? how much solution in each jar? You may have used too much solution thus throwing off the moisture content.

What proportion of ingredients?
A sour smell normally indicates bacterial contamination. Does it smell at all sour?
Did you flame between innoculations?

im smellin my BRF jars right now and it smells like a metal lid with micropore tape on it.
they are at 100% I'm just waiting a week.
I guess you could say it does smell a little like pussy,.,. tin/aluminum kinda..

anyway back to buz.
i used 1ML a jar very little i put 1/4 in each hole.. i did 5 jars should i take one jar and take the dirt out to see if there is mycelium in the middle ive been wanting to do this lol

1 ml is enough for a jar. Did you inoculate against the glass as is suggested? if so you should see growth on the outside.
PS: Is the smell sour¿?
