Linux in general is teh suck. Nothing ever works, and trying to install new software takes 10 fucking years to try and work out all the bugs. I seriously feel like one of those angry kids you see on youtube trashing their shit because of a video game, accept I'm sitting here seething in rage rather than breaking my shit.

I don't like Ubuntu either. Try Linux Mint if you ever decide to give it another go. Much better software and driver support and elegant UI. Dual boot with Windows to have best of both worlds.

As for messenger I started using Pidgin since Trillian got on my nerves. Stayed with pidgin ever since because it's simple, adfree, and doesn't eat of a ton of RAM.

Ubuntu is horribly bloated and retarded. I'd use any other distrib over it or any *BSD.

I've tried a bunch of them and they all make me want to stomp my tower into pieces.

I have windows on my other computer, but sometimes I don't want to use that one, I want to use this one.

I could almost cry I'm so fucking angry right now. :crying:

Whatever, /rant

What are you having trouble with?  There is no question that there is a learning curve to using Linux.  Once you figure it out though it becomes clearly the better choice over Windows.  Honestly when I use Windows now it just feels so fucking slow and awful

Bullshit!

I've been using it for years, and I still can't ever get this shit straight. Every time I fix one problem another one pops up. The only advantage it has over windows is the price and the elitist nerd appeal.

EDIT: and the startup time
