Experience with San Pedro and Syrian Rue?

Hey all!:heart:

So, would anyone mind sharing their thought or experiences with the combination of San Pedro and Syrian Rue? I've read through erowid and shroomery search but wanted to ask for myself.

What about a dose of 24in fresh + 1-2g seeds?

I took 5grams of seeds during the peak of a 12" Pedro trip.  It extended  the peak well into the next morning, and it qualitatively changed the trip.  The hallucinations seemed more 'acid like'  ONe side effect was I got tired and dreamy, I felt very dizzy for about 2 hours.  I laid down on my bed and had a vision of a gold lake and pyramids and a temple.  So it definitely changed the trip.  However, now the Achuma I have is so potent I need no Syrian Rue.  So I haven't done it for a while.

ive done it many, many times.

I got away with it for the first dozen or so, then i started getting more negative effects.

The last two times I was fighting for my life, which believe me is a LOT more intense when you are tripping insanely hard. I'm going to have to recommend against it

This is how i tripped for for first time ever, I had an amazing experience lasting 18+ hours and being very beautiful, its been over 3 years since this trip but i would definetely try again some day...:slomo:

So at what point would you recommend the Syrian Rue administration?

Before, with, or during? I guess during works well just in a different way than before because it still extends the trip but changes it? Very interesting to think about!

I'm trying to plan my 1st cactus trip. Thinking 20-24in with 2g rue...

Don't take it for your first time on mescaline, but if you do anyway, just make sure you have a lot of time planned on for it! Mescaline already lasts forever on its own, but with some syrian rue, plan on not being able to sleep for quite some time.

I would say first time cactus, take it by itself, in FACT I am going to recomend FrenchMachines tek again, My first time cactus was fresh eaten like a really gross slushy.

Dont regret it for one minute, 10inches SP was more powerful than the 30gram dried PT I currently have.

I know we are all different, but, Each time I try a new drug, I like to try JUST it, get a feel for the singular drug itself before mixing.

Rue has its own character, I have taken <1gram before and smoked it with weed...... it definatly has its own "attitude" or "profile" or whatever you want to call it.... sickly, dizzy, disorientation doesnt surprise me for reported effects.

Cactus is CLEAN feeling........ plus...... you will be tripping for like 12-14+ hours....... do you really want it to go longer than that?!

Either way, I would take 3grams rue.... probably halfway thru eating the cactus..... that way, i will hopefully only puke once. :tongue2:

I've taken ~3g rue before two cactus trips and they were by far my best cactus trips (compared to times without rue). I took it about 30min before the cactus and it made for extremely intense trips :smile:

the first time was excessively long, like 18 hours until I could sleep

I think the second time was considerably shorter, like 10-12hrs, though it's hard to remember

i hear rue makes the trip more dreamy, drowsy.

never tried the combination. im a pussy when it comes to my MAOIs. i have some A/B extracted rue, but never used it with anything.

I would definetely suggest eating the rue before the cactus. This way the rue is already acting on your receptors hence allowing the mescaline to be potentiated...

2-2.5 grams of rue should most definetely do the trick!

I would suggest for the sake of your stomach an extract of the syrian
rue. It can be a little harsh eating the straight seeds  IMO.


but if you decide to do it, yeah, 2 - 2.5 grams should do you well.
I usually take around 250 mg of extract before taking cacti

i need to say it again

this is a risky combination, and potentially fatal. If not the first dozen times, then maybe the next. ( I have done it well over a dozen at the very least)





You might not want to listen to me, but hear me when I say this:

    One night, while pretty stoned, my house caught on fire (electrical fire, from inside the wall) . Everything was pitch black, and I had nowhere to go except back into my room (also pitch black). The windows to my room are sealed (with sealing) completely shut, and they are made out of plexiglass. As I am breathing in more and more toxic smoke (lots of burning plastic from the kitchen), I am struggling to think of something, ANYTHING that I could use to try and break through the plastic-like plexiglass, which seemed like it would be impossible even if I could find something. It was pitch black, and there was nothing. I was trapped. I literally thought that this was it, there's no escaping it, I'm dead. My whole life flashed before my eyes, as they say. I couldn't breathe any more. At the point where I felt I had literally one last decent breath left, I ran into my room and tried to smash the plexiglass with my fist. To my absolute surprise, the window was actually glass, and I was able to dive out safely. That ranks as one of the most intense, powerful, and even psychedelic experiences I have ever been through.


but that holds NOTHING against how intensely horrifying the two separate times I nearly died on this combination was. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
(and I also have lingering headache issues which I think may be somehow attribute to this as well)

I've eaten rue with mushrooms and I was pretty sick feeling the whole time.

I know for a fact it was because these seeds were just sitting in my stomach, and my stomach just couldn't break them down. I felt really bad and basically lied down the whole time. I felt like I poisoned my liver, so try to make an extract, I think they are pretty water soluble in some near boiling water. I'd look into it, they taste like shit.

here's my extraction tek.
Some people made some pretty good comments.
But they wanted to use hydrochloric, solvents, and lye.
The tek I use is pretty natural and free of all those things.
Besides that, this tek is really easy.


Maybe go without this time, but I'd definitely say
look into this for future trips. It really enhances the
pedro, as well as many triptamines.

Maybe try some 90% or better pure cacao. It's an MAOI-B
which works best with Phenethylamines. Syrian Rue is an
MAOI-A which works best for tryptamines. They will both
work for both, but they are more geared toward one or the other
