Holes in the fruiting chamber?
    #11122698 -

I saw that pf tek video and the fruiting chamber is a plastic container with a lot of holes on all sides, why is that necessary? Won't the mushrooms get contamination? Can I do it without the holes?

No the holes are for FAE. Without the holes your FC would fill with CO2 and your mushies would die.

I have grown and seen grows in high traffic ares and its perfectly fine actually I prefer not to put it in a closet for the sake of fresh air, once the myc has taken hold its pretty contam resistant so no worries there

LOl i don't know why people knock basements it just another level in your house. I can see the temp thing for some people but keep it off the ground by a foot or more and you shouldn't have issues. not every basemnt is a mold ridden part of the house i have grown in iffy places and its always turned out once the myc has a hold its tough as nails
