Using air pump without bubbler.....

Well, the birth of my cakes draw nigh, so I have this question about my terrarium setup: I am using an air pump for air exchange, I do not have this leading into a bubbler inside the terrarium. I am just letting the air blow in through the tube. Any possible problems?
The Tek I used for my terrarium is here: http://www.lilshopofspores.com/humdity_chamber.htm

I don't know but I always use a bubbler set in a PC pipe with 3% h20 that will help keep contams down if any come in thru the air pump. just my 2 cents on that alot of people are different.

You need to filter one end or the other- intake or exhaust. Otherwise you're pumping your chamberfull of contaminated air. You can put the pump in a box with a filter, but the H2O2 bubble ris probably your best bet.

I don't filter it. What about when you fan your terrarium? That isn't filtered. I'm not saying a filter of some kind isn't a good idea I'm just saying you don't need one.

Can you not spend like a few extra bucks? $1 for airline tubing $1 for diffuser stones $0.49 for a bottle of hydrogen peroxide The thing with the bubbler is that it knocked out 2 birds with one stone. Not only is the air clean, it'll add moisture to the air.

Here is how I have my tub setup The fans and power unit I had it will give a idea of how I have it I don't have to open it till they are ready to pick.or just to check on them
the fans run every two hours for 15 minute fist the exhaust runs once it stops the intake start to fill it with fresh air. the light comes only for 5 hours a day. the perlite is soaked for a couple of minutes only then the bubbler does the rest so if the perlite get dry the bubbler put enough moisture in there to keep it at 93 to 96 % it been working really good for me. It all runs off a program I wrote for my Computer with a alarm if anything goes wrong it will let me know.

I don't feel the need to add any more humidity, just to make sure I get complete air exchange without a bubbler.

A bubbler doesn't add as much humidity as you think. Even with two diffuser stones it still dried out my casing because I accidentally left it on too long.

I agree, but I don't know about you, I spray lysol above my terrariums a couple of minutes before fanning. Not as good as running a hepa, but better than nothing.

Nope. I never do that. and I have never lost a casing to any contamination. I have lost jars (actually since I started using tyvek filters I haven't lost any) , but not casings.

Well smile, cause god loves you. Even with the lysol spray, I'll still lose a casing or two every so often.

I work in a clean room of forms. Everything is in an enclosed room that stays sealed all day. I walk in, let the air settle and then fan. Works perfectly.

I've been meaning to clean out my grow room for a while, but given my particular situation, its a little tough. But I got one of those plastic shelving systems (with the plastic covering) and as soon as I can clean out my closet REAL good, hopefully I can cut down on the contams.

My old tub was the same way as my new one but my heat came from under the tub with a heat pad.it would keep it in the high 80's if I set it on high. But I took a 6" pc pipe put a pc divider it but i first drilled a ton of holes in the divider (them fish tank divider work good) then Epoxy it in I have the heater on one side and the bubbler on the other it does really good But leave about 4" from the top this will let the water & heat come out all the way around the PC instead of one side
