Well yesterday I got really high and watched Dazed and Confused. You could watch that.

i've already seen both watchmen and dazed and confused
besides i tripped today, so i think i'll lighten the mood tomorrow with some dave chapelle

The machinist - with christian bale is also very amazing. dark and sad but good
There is probably a dvd of oldboy at any of your local video stores and its in english and the dubbing isnt bad at all.

i just got back from target where i spotted serenity on sale  so im gonna watch that, i recommend it its awesome, people have mentioned a ton of good ones already, oldboy is amazing! also i really liked Permanent Midnight, its a weird extremely dark comedy where ben stiller plays a hardcore heroin addict, its got a lot of famous people in it but it wasnt too popular i dont think

oldboy is the shit, long movie, BUT worth it. Not to many ppl that I know have seen it.
also, if you dont mind subtitles you gotta see Amores Perros. Gael Garcia Bernal(Science of Sleep, another weird good movie) is in it, if that matters.

Amazing acting, brilliant storyline, pays homeage to other great chinese films, great action.........the ending......
I can't get over that movie. I talk it up to anyone......
I have seen a shit load of asian movies tho, I love a lot of what comes from other countries. Ichi the killer is a great movie, as is battle royale

Haha your Asian friend, nice country drop......
But ya, it's part 2 in the vengeance trilogy part one and 3 are also very amazing.
Oh Di Su plays a sweet role in part 3
None of them have anything to do with each other, except for the fact they revolve around revenge ( a very common theme in Asian culture.......respecting family and getting revenge for them )
The movies reflect a lof about how futile revenge is, and how it can bite you in the ass, and how family togetherness could be so much more complex.
Part one is very dramatic ( sympathy for Mr vengeance ) and very sad, little spoken word, just a lot of visual aspect.
and part three is full on glorious revenge and when its sweet its sweet ( lady vengeance )
I recommend them all, but I would start with old boy.

There are a lot of really great Japanese movies out there based on crazy ass manga.
When the last sword is drawn is a really good samurai movie if you're into that kind of thing.

Downloading the torrent hopefully it will be sick. And for a good anime movie download the anime jin roh. Its a good one. A FUCKING AMAZING movie is waking life. Im sure many on here have seen it. But its like a trip without taking any psychadelics. Always leaves so much to think about.

Yeah I just watched Oldboy. At first I thought it was going to be stupid cause of the story, but you're right it's actually a pretty good movie. Good soundtrack and cinematography, but .........the ending.......

Didn't like the ending at all, what a fuckin pussy, he should of just killed that bastard right after his body guard died. Wow...I hate when the main actors turn out to be pussies like that.
